The Blur Ride:

Sunday March 25th 2017 - 8am leaving:

The Blur Ride is designed to be an introduction to Northen NSW gravel. Its only 62km so the distance is not the real challenge. Its development was in response to last years Roubaix 88 and the number of people who didn't think they actually needed 28c tyres.

Well this time bring 35c tyres or lots of tubes -  or your mountain bike.

This is NOT Noosa Strada Bianchi gravel, this is not quite as nice, and there is more of it...

The course leaves from Tyalgum Genral Store - after a coffee and muffin - then heading out through Mebbin National Park to Mt Burrill General Store then back to Tyalgum. We shall mark major intersections plus hand out maps and turn sheets.

The ride is unsupported - there is no mechanical support - no sag wagon and no communications. You are on your own (well hopefully with a bunch of other people also on their own).

Course Elevation:

The course has some hills, but the last one can be avoided with just returning the normal way back. This will make it a lot more borning, less gravel and wayy less climbing plus you miss out on some epic views - but you will be back for coffee faster, Mmm tough call.

Ride shall start at 8:00am sharp to make sure we are off Kyogle Rd before the soccor mum traffic. Meet at the General Store at 7.30 for sign on and map distribution.

Duration of ride should be 3 1/2 hours comfortably but allow 4 hours just in case coffee is good at Spinx Rock.

Aid Stations:

There is the opportunity to get food and water at Mt Burrill general Store and Spinx Rock cafe.

There are toilets at Spinx Rock Cafe (and they will not look like a tree, so if its a tree, its not a toilet!).
